Hello and Welcome to the Official website for The Jellyphish Lounge and yes, make no mistake, that is with 'ph'. If you have a moment, why don't you come on in and check out our History to learn more about how this little niche of a place came into existence.

First though, let's start with introductions. My name is David (aka "Mr. Kite") Nelson, Co-creater and the brainy brawn of this operation. I share the Compound with the lovely and incomporable Miss August West and our precocious little Diva Destiny. Together, we have manifested this dream since the summer of 2001 and have been richly blessed in sharing it with others.

Our Mission with the Jellyphish Lounge (JPL) is to provide a utopian haven where friends can gather to enjoy life and music. Since its inception four years ago, the Lounge has hosted many birthday parties, a few epic after-show parties and parties really just for the sake of partying. Through our good friends at Tapir Productions, the Lounge has also seen the likes of Bay Area band New Monsoon, fomerly-known Zappa-inspired Psychedelic Breakfast and the funkified, rock-your-soul, RAQ.  Find live recordings of their amazing and inspiring music through our provided link to The Live Music Archive.

The excellent acoustics make it perfect for live music and the typical crowd is comprised of the most consciencious, caring, giving people who share a common passion for music and who are reverently quiet enough to hear the most delicate of notes from an unplugged musician, while at the same time groovin' hard in their own cloud of boogie dust.
